I am so sorry this is happening to you. You need to have an adult involved here. Do you have a grandparent that could help you? I don't think you should be left alone with your mom right now - she sounds like she still may end up needing medical attention at some point. It is not fair to you that you be left alone in this situation. I really think you need to find another adult to be there with you until these pills, however many she took, wear off. How about your dad? Can he stay there with you? Maybe a few different adults could take turns - does your mom have any brothers or sisters? Please call everyone you can think of and ask that someone stay with you until mom is better.

What kind of pills and what dose? Find the bottle, call a pharmacist with the information, ask what if someone took eight. If it could be life-threatening, then call your local crisis center. They can decide whether or not to send a rescue squad.
It sounds as if your parents need help, whether or not your mother took the 8 pills or not. Her slow responses could be just because she took one or two, but it's something her doctor should know about.
I'm sorry you're having to bo through this.

Your mother is looking for attention. She needs understanding - it isn't so much about the pills, but what is going around her. Apparently there is something wrong and she needs help - she doesn't want to hurt herself as she called a friend.
It looks like maybe there should be some family counseling as she feels she can't talk to her family about whatever is bothering her.
She may be lying. Since she is refusing to go, let her sleep and keep an eye on her. If her sleep isn't normal - call the paramedics.

If your mom took 8 sleeping pills, more likely she would have been snoozing. As far as crying goes sleeping pills, Valium & such can cause depression. i have to take Phenobarbitol, Dilantin & Valium for epileptic seziures. Stuff that's not to be played around with. If and I'm saying if you mother took 8 sleeping pills she should have been taken to the hospital. You need to watch her, observe any behavior changes, diet changes.
Hope all goes well, good luck in this.

If she claims she took eight sleeping pills but was still awake to talk to the police and start crying, she likely didn't. She is probably lying.
She sounds like she is craving attention. She probably need psychological counselling.

Your family needs to get her into to see a therapist. Sounds like she was reaching out for some attention. But, if she was attempting something else, she really, really needs help.

Watch her closely and try to keep her awake. if you can't then I'd get her to a Dr immediately whether she wants to go or not. Don't take any chances.

If she's conscious, she's OK. She needs to see a Dr. about her mental condition. Your dad shold insist on it. She is in a bad way.
