Your teeth may be hurting from the cold if your sinuses are swollen or infected. The roots of the upper teeth rest just under the facial sinus cavity, so when the sinuses are swollen it puts pressure on the roots of the teeth making them ache, or you feel like you have a tooth ache or the gums ache. You may want to take an antihistamine like Benadryl and see if drying the sinuses up a bit helps your teeth. If it does then you know it's your sinuses.

If your gums are infected this allows infection to go elsewhere in the body. The gums could be the reason your getting colds a lot if this is the case. You might want to check this with your dentist. In the meantime use Advil or Motrin at about 600 mg dose, an ant-inflammatory is regularly used to reduce the swelling associated with the aches and pain in your teeth and tissue. You may want to rinse with warm salt water also, this is also very soothing.

Also anytime you've been sick, it's best to throw the toothbrush away and get a new one when your well. Or you can disinfect this one with peroxide or a bleach solution and rinse it well after wards. Hope you get to feeling better and that I've been of some help.

You could just have sensitive teeth, but to be on the safe side I would go and get them checked out at the dentist. Try sensitive toothpaste for a while and cut down on the sugary stuff.

If you can stand the taste of it, clove oil will do wonders for your gums.
It's antiseptic and helps numb the pain.

Take Ibuprofen, about 4 200mg pills and if that's not enough take a couple more. It's always helped me.
