A pilates class will strengthen your core abdominal muscles and increase your general level of fitness. Cardiovascular exercise, such as aerobics, walking, swimming, jogging will help you burn off the fat. You need a combination of both to lose weight and sculpt your shape. Nothing happens overnight without effort. Give yourself three months and then check yourself out to see your progress.

I'll be honest... crunches and sit-ups will give you abs... not a flat stomach.
What will get you a flat stomach is cardiovascular exercise and dieting.
As to how long it will take... that depends on your current body-condition. As to how long you should do it per day... if you are not accustomed to completing physical activity... I suggest starting at about 10-15 minutes every other day and building up to 30 minutes for about 5 days in the week.
Some of the best exercises are running (or jogging or walking), up and down the stairs or outside... but don't support yourself on the rail if you do the stairs... that kinda ruins the effect.

That would depend on how toned your stomach muscles are to begin with!! crunches and cardio work outs are the best form of exercise for some people, while others find yoga and pilates to be good.
No matter what exercise you do, unless you are doing it properly they wont work., make sure that you always warm up and cool down properly. stretching is good!!
However combining exercise with a good diet is probably the best way to achieve a long term goal.
Drink lots of water, cut out food that are processed, high in fats and sugars, and salts. beware of foods that state they are low in fat, because they are usually high in something else.
Try to incorporate lots of colourful fruits and veg into your diet, wholemeal breads, rice, pasta. lean chicken and fish.
good luck

Diet is the only real way to get a flat stomache. You cant spot reduce. So basically you can do 100's of situps every day but that will only strengthen the muscle but you will still have a layer of fat over top of it. Eating clean is the only real way to a flat stomache.

100 crunches in the morning, along with a diet. The exercises will strengthen the muscles and up your metabolism, but the best way to speed it up is to combine it with diet.
Probably quite a few weeks either way.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

Stomach crunches. At least once every day. About as many as you can do. Try to stretch more each day.
