Prayers are talking to God. God answers prayers always. But, sometimes, they don't come out the way you plan, or want. WE just have to know and understand that our ways are not God's ways... His are better. So, sweet girl, pray till you can't anymore. Bring your worries to the Lord. He'll be there, forever and for always, with open arms and a whole lot of forgiveness. You just gotta ask Him for it, dear.

I keep a journal of various prayers and time after time my prayers are answered Yes. Sometimes the answer is Wait and seldom No. If I get a No I usually find out later why my Father said No. You wouldn't give your ten year old the keys to your car. Sometimes it is like that with me. God isn't going to give me something that will hurt me whether I think so or not. Understanding why God said no is knowing God's love is deeper and beyond anything I can comprehend. Wait usually is God's way of saying,"I have something better." or " Yes, but a little later."

A very good question. Since there is no harm in making prayer I have not thought about it sincerly; but I think a sincere prayer must be working and desired results are obtained by doing required works.

I see in one instance you are talking astrology then talking about prayer, these are at opposite ends of the spectrum. First off to God things like astrology are an abomination to Him as they take Him out of the picture, the Word says " thou shalt have no other God's before me". Secondly in order to pray to God and be heard you must be a believer unless your prayer is a prayer of salvation. The question do prayers work? we are called to pray according to the scriptures, however just because we pray re asking for something it does mean it will necessarily happen. God answers prayer but in His timing and if He thinks it is best for you. The important thing is to take it to Him in prayer and to leave it to Him. We often at first do not see why He has not answered right away or the way we want but later we often see why. Hope this helps, but first off I would suggest staying clear of astrology and establish a relationship with God through His Son, Take a look in the New Testament at the book of JOHN, Cheers!

When you believe some thing completely and sicerely you never realize distance between you and your belief(in this case god). During this attachment and you don't even need to ask for thing to happen, but they will be fulfilled by the power of your thoughts.
Prayer is just an active effort you make between god(or anyone) to communicate to offer praise, to make a request, seek guidance, confess sins, or simply to express your thoughts and emotions.
As per my earlier statement prayers do work, but it depends on how powerful your belief is and how confident you are in your belief.

If a prayer doesn't work then you don't have enough faith in God to fulfill your prayers. You have doubts, It probably embarasses you to pray. The mind's thoughts are almost impossible to control and takes extreme disciplinary measures to have a keen, calm, relaxed clear mind. You need focus. Take time out to meditate in a quiet atmosphere. Try to take control of your thoughts, try to empty your mind of all negative energy and thoughts. Trust in yourself, and overall TRUST in GOD. Faith is the foundation in which all trust is based upon. You need to believe with all your heart and soul. You may fool other people about your belief, or lack of, in God but that's completely irrelevent. You can't fool God, this is where it matters most because he can be your salvation or your worst nightmare. And you can't fool yourself, to lie to yourself is also irrelevent and without merit or purpose. The onus is on you. Nobody can save you except yourself. There's no point in praying if you don't believe or have faith. So don't pray until you are ready. When you are ready pray for guidance and wisdom. Pray for yourself first. This is not selfishness, this is a prayer to give you strength and wisdom so that you will finally be ready to help others with all confidence. How can you help others if you can't help yourself? Ask yourself that at the beginning of each day. Admittedly, my faith is lacking and I'm struggling hard, being an alcoholic just adds to the misery. My fate is sealed or so I would believe. I pray once in awhile but like I said, they are without merit or purpose. I suppose I'm a hipocrite in a way. But if I can help even one person then my life will not go without meaning and with that knowledge I will finally have peace of mind. Food for thought. You do not have to voice your prayers, you need only to say your prayers in your thoughts because God knows your thoughts, even before you do. You do not have to be in a church to pray. You do not have to be in a confessional to confess your sins. You answer to God and God only. Confess &/or Pray to him anywhere, on the beach, the subway, school, work, when you sleep, say it with voice "or" thought. But overall all. MEAN IT! BELIEVE IT! HAVE FAITH!

The answer to this, as in many questions regarding religion, lies within each of us individually and is summarized with one word - Faith. Do you believe in God, Allah, Jesus, Mohammed, Buddah, or other diety? This then is the basis for your spiritual beliefs. As a christian, I believe in God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. My prayers are submitted to them. How they are answered also depends, in part, on me. How so? My faith in the ability and desire of God to answer my prayers. "As you believe, so it will be unto you." Or, in praying believe that your prayer has been answered and it will be.
The same is true of our desires and actions aside from prayer. "If you had the Faith of a Mustard Seed you could say to this Mountain - "Be Gone" and it would move". In that respect you have more control over your destiny than you may think. Faith is a Gift - Hope is the essence of faith - evidence of things not yet seen. So pray, and then have faith.

Prayer is asking GOD what you want.
GOD answers prayers in 3 ways
1. HE gives what you ask, immediately. (or)
2. HE makes you wait and gives you something better than what you asked for. (or)
3. HE does not give what you ask, but gives you the best
Prayers do work, but it depends on what you are asking HIM

yes prayers work first it must be something that is good for you sometimes we want something that are really can turn bad in the future first we think why god doesn't answer my prayers but we someday will found out it was for our own good.
Beside that god will answer our prayers if we really want and ask god with our all hearth.

Sometimes the answer to your prayers might not be the outcome you expected or wanted so therefore you believe your prayers were not answered. God works in mysterious ways. God is not a Genie that we pray too, willing to give us everything we want.
