Update your Nero 6 from :
http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/nero-up.php
Choose "Update-Package 2"
You should then be able to use Nero Vision to "Create a DVD" from the DivX file.
If not, you may need Nero 7.
I use it to create DVDs with DivX or Xvid files every day.... works fine.

Philip T

to burn the divx files onto a dvd in a format that could be viewed on any standard dvd player you would need to convert your divx files into mpeg2 format, the standard and required file format for DVDs to be authored with. im not sure what programs are available to do this for pc as im a snobby mac guy, but google divx mpeg2 converter and see what you can turn up. nero might also have this feature built in.. good luck!

You can use a number of third party tools that will help you to convert divx to a proper format for dvd. Below are some links to softwares you can download as well as guides on how to use them:

The best utility for this kind of thing is WinAVI video converter, it's a lot faster than anything else I've tried and it's incredibly easy to use (you can start converting an AVI to burnable DVD files with about two mouse clicks). It's not free sadly but if you do this kind of thing often then it's a godsend even at the price. You can get a free demo version of it to try if you fancy it:

Try this codec XviD-1.1.2-01112006.exe (url below )and see how it goes. It's the only codec i use and nero works for me and DvDSanta which is pretty cheap to buy... Also saying that , what discs are you using as some players won't play dvd+r ..
