Nate, I have two teenager's, still at home, and what I buy them are "Good Old Fashioned" STRIDEX (Alcohol Free) cleansing treatment pads!! They were very "Popular" in the 70s, and all of my friends used them for their acne, in those days, so I figured why not get them for my two teens...And believe it or not, they really help my kids acne problems..STILL-EFFECTIVE!!! Even 30 years later, here!! So, that must say alot for the product...For it to even still be out on the Market, says: Its an effective good product! So, just go out and get you some of those! And there fairly reasonably priced too! And for your washing of your face, my kids just use soap & warm water! And then use the pads! And has it kept their acne under control !! Its a GREAT product, still ! Smile!!!

There is not a lot that really work. Proactive is the only one I know of but the bad thing about it is you have to use it forever, as soon as you stop using it the acne comes back and probably worse than it was to begin with. I would suggest a dermatologist. They can help point you in the right direction.

All of the OTC stuff sucks. Acne is caused by different things in different people. The best place to start is by seeing a dermatologist. Was your face every day (SEVERAL TIMES A DAY) don't touch your face. and change your diet.
