My cousin lives in Engliand and she told me that because of the disuse of so many old churhes, many of the church buildings are used to for other purposes, such as restaurants and nightclubs.

Are people finally realizing that religion is not required to enjoy life? :)

education levels are going up in all of Europe. The northern/western part of Europe has historically spent a great deal on education. With the increasing prosperity this is also ongoing in the rest of the EU.

Decreased ignorance and superstition means less room for the classical religions/origin myths.

Its not in our schools in the same way it is in America, (even though we have state sponsored religious schools in the UK). Our education system allows people to think for themselves and they tend to think themselves into other forms of spirituality or out of it all together.

I think it great - despite a lot of our politicians being Christian's that is in the background politics is in the front where it should be. Take the recent Gay adoptions row - modern secular ideals and morals won through. Church and state are completely separate like they should be.

confident the international is turning out to be greater secular. the biggest occasion i'm able to think of of is the european Union. the example that i come across the main alarming: united statesa.'s public college device. genuine Christianity is being discriminated against. it is diffused, even though it is getting stronger. it is incorrect interior the way that affirmative action is incorrect. enforcing your faith on somebody else could be a criminal offense, yet in simple terms talking approximately it specific should not be.

European children aren't brainwashed from birth by their parents, communities, schools, and govt that the myths of old are real. In America, that brainwashing is continual. So, the Europeans are freer in the minds than Americans.

And maybe the horror of the inquisition, bloody mary, the murder of millions of 'witches' taught europe what a crock 'religion' is.
