yes, its called AMA and its against medical advice.. who would best be trained for medical advise.? his honey or a doctor?
well get a second opinion.. operations sometimes do go off as planned..infection? left a re tractor inside or a sponge? who knows what causes infections or inflammation but it sounds like the doc seen something that was amiss..who would not worry but saying that it is better to be safe then sorry. Don't always assume there is something wrong. Have Faith..

Since I don't know the exact details of why your boyfriend is in Nigeria I think the best way to approach this is to contact the Foreign Office if he is a British Citizen and ask their advice. They will have a direct line to their Nigerian counterparts.

They should be able to consult NHS doctors who can reassure the Nigerian doctors that he will be looked after at home.

He may have to pay extra money for a flight that will take him and whatever other medical equipment he needs until he gets home.
