Job/ career advise for music?

I'm about to take my GCSE options and I need to know what I'm doing in the future so I can pick the right options. If you work in music, whether it be in performing, writing, teaching or anything else to do with it, what do you think of it as a job. Do you like it, is the pay good, what's the work load like, what does it invlove, would you recommend it?

the real question is do YOU like it.
If you love music, try and figure out what you would like to contribute to it. weather it's writing, playing or anything else in regards to it, even if it's a roadie or gopher.
and with all jobs, pay depends on what level you're at.
It's going to be whatever makes you happy.
