Take your dog to the vet as soon as possible. It could just be a cut in the throat or it could be something more serious. Make sure you provide the vet with detailed information about the type of food, when the dog last ate, and any toys the dog plays with. Do not feed or water your dog until the vet sees him. Also check for any other signs of illness such as bruising or bloating as these could be signs of internal bleeding. After the vet check your house for any possible hazards that could cause further injury. I would also not recomend Iams because the food is primarily cornmeal based and is of no nutritional value to your pet. I would recommend Maximum Nutrition from Walmart. It is one of the best quality foods and cheapest on the market. The only thing I have found better is Innova which is very expensive. Just remember not to switch food rapidly and mix it in with the current food for a week so that it doesn't upset the dogs stomach.

The only thing you can do is take her to the vet, and you must do so RIGHT AWAY!!!!!!
This could be any number of things, some potentially fatal. She could have gotten poisoned, she could have a severe parasite/infection or she could have eaten something sharp that it tearing her digestive tract. There is nothing you can do about any of this, and only a vet can determine exactly what the problem is. She needs a blood test to screen for toxins and possibly an x-ray to check for foreign objects. You HAVE TO take her to the vet ASAP - this is an emergency! You don't know the degree to which she may be internally hemorrhaging. In addition to problems with poisons, etc, she could bleed to death.
She may also be in a tremendous amount of pain. Dogs instinctively try to hide their pain, so you really can't tell how much she may be suffering right now.
If you are unwilling or unable to take her to the vet for something so serious, you should call the local humane society right away. They can provide medical attention for this issue and place her with a home that will be able to properly care for her in future emergencies.

The VET ASAP. Waiting could make things worse. She could have just over eaten or should could have a problem. Best to have a Vet check her out right now.
Iams is not that good. Go to a real pet store and buy a quality food without so many additives and junk.
Innova makes great foods.
GO TO THE VET NOW!!!
DON'T WAIT. YOUR DOG THROWS UP BLOOD, YOU GO TO THE VET. IF IT HAPPENS AT NIGHT, FIND A 24 HOUR EMERGENCY HOSPITAL!
good luck.

Yes, Iams is one of the worst foods you could be giving her. Try a high quality food - which is all natural. Is your dog puking blood or did you give them a red coloured treat? Sounds like your dog might be sensitive to the additives that are found in treats - try giving her only all natural treats. Your dog could also have a food allergy so monitor what types of food you give her and when (including treats), and when she throws up. Definitely change to a higher quality food.

What are you a vet? Take her to the vet, now!!
Throwing up blood is not a good sign. Just like in humans, there is a problem.

Vomiting blood, is a very serious indication of internal bleeding. It is life threatening! The only option you do have, it to immediately take her to the vet. There is nothing you can do, but that. Please, don't put it off, taking her in, because you may lose her.

The yellow fluid your dog is throwing up is probably bile. By itself throwing up bile doesn't mean much except that the pet probably threw up on an empty stomach.
Withhold the dog's food for 24 to try and get his system back to normal. Not eating for a day won't hurt your dog, it will help give his irritated system a rest. It's very important that the dog has fresh water available, you don't want the dog to become dehydrated. If your pet has trouble even holding water down, try for ice cubes, one at a time, instead. Not only do dogs find them fun, they take longer to consume than liquid-which may prevent your dog from vomiting the water back up. If your dog won't go for the ice cubes, try low fat/ low sodium chicken broth. Warming it up may get him interested.
After his fast, start your dog on a very bland diet. Veterinarians recommend the tried-and-true recipe of one part cottage cheese or skinless, boiled chicken to two parts rice. Give small amounts every 4 hours for a day or so. Gradually mix in your dog's regular food, and monitor him carefully until he is back up to speed.
Peptobismol or Kaopectate can help settle his stomach, too. Dosing guidelines are 1 teaspoon per 10 pounds, but it's best to consult your veterinarian first.
If the vomiting is persistent, or if it continues for longer than 24 hours, or if your dog is throwing up blood, get to the vet immediately. Serious vomiting can be a symptom of an emergancy.
Sometimes there is no choice but to take your dog to a vet. All living things occasionally need to see a doctor, and not getting treatment for a seriously sick dog is neglectful.
If it turns out your dog needs to see a doctor, be up front with the doctor. Ask your veterinarian if he or she will let you work out a payment plan. Many veterinarians are willing to work out a weekly or monthly payment plan so that you do not have to pay the entire cost of veterinary care up front.
Contact your local shelter. Some shelters operate or know of local subsidized veterinary clinics or veterinary assistance programs. You can find the name and number of your local shelter in the Yellow Pages of your phone book under "animal shelter," "animal control," or "humane society," or by calling Information.
You can also try contacting the regional office of The Humane Society of the United States that covers your state. Their regional office staff is often familiar with organizations and personnel within their territory and may be able to direct you to programs in your area.
There's no way to put it nicely-dogs are scavengers. If allowed, most dogs would probably love to inspect every garbage can in sight. To prevent this from happening again, the best solution (and cheapest in the long run) is not to let your dog roam.
stop switching foods stay on one food even if he picks at it

Ummm Take her to the vet. Not really any other options. I know it can be expensive. But she could be in pain. Animals cannot tell you when they are hurting. Its not fair to them to make them suffer.
