Whenever i try playing movie through quicktime it sounds choppy and disturbed, i have recently installed and uninstalled winamp but havent really touched anything else, i tried uninstalling quicktime and then re installing it but nothing has changed, i even tried installing and re installing itunes but still nothing. anyone have any ideas? all my other audio files work fine, and my .mov files play in windows media player the latest version but they wont work when theyre played using quictime

check for updates on quicktime.

I easily have an identical problem. My audio chops each 2nd or 2. i think of that i've got not got the horsepower on my pc. I hear the Quicktime 7 is CPU-hungry. What version of iTunes / Quicktime are you making use of?
