Absolutely someone can have an eating disorder and not know about it. This is why they are so dangerous. The main two I know of are anorexia nervosa and bulimia, but there are other eating disorders which make people overeat, too.

Even when a sufferer has been diagnosed with an eating disorder, as with many addictions, often they have to hit rock bottom before they are able to start to treat themselves and overcome it.

I would check out the nhs website if I were you - you should find plenty of information there.

Yes. Although it is often the case that the person suffering the disorder is in denial - this is particularly true of people suffering from anorexia. If you think you or someone you know has an eating disorder you should seek help for yourself or for them.

Definately. It is extremley common to have an eating disorder and not know about it. Your not alone and there are hundreds of people who would love to share there experiences but find it hard.
The way I got help was to research and educate a very close friend who supported and but up with my tantrum. He then came with me to see a GP and told them for me as I would always make up other excuses. I am available to talk about this if you want. xx

yes, you can have an eating disorder and not know about it. Someone will find out sooner or later though. If you have one you will notice feeling usually hungry or full.
