I know this description is long but please help. About a yr ago I got a message from Microsoft that I needed to update on Microsoft office. Thinking this was just an update to the 2003 professional I clicked ok. It installed a new office. I thought cool, I got it free. Worked on it for a month then I got a message that to continue using it I had to purchase because my trial had expired. I didnt know it was a trial, so I never purchased it. I reverted to using Word Perfect as I was not using any word program much anyway. I am starting a new work from home job that requires Microsoft office. So I uninstalled the new version, thinking it would revert back to the old version. Wrong! Now I dont have any version. Can anyone help me with what I should do? For the time being I am converting email attachments to Word Perfect, but that created a new problem in that every attachment I open auto converts to Word Perfect now. Any help on chnaging this option would be greatly appreciated also.

The old office can only be reinstalled using the CD from which u initially installed it!
As an alternative, you could try Open Office, which is a replica of Microsoft office and its for free! You can go to www.openoffice.org and download and use it for free. It work just as good as ms-office and can open the files created using ms-office.

u can remove the existing office contents fully thn download msoffice xp version from sites like torrents etc.. thn install with that.. for opening t attatchment u can use wordpad whch's thr default in windows( unless its a very large file ).. u can press shift key while right clickin that particular file whch u wanna open.. u will find "open with" thn select appropriate in whch u wanna open.. thats it!!
wud be nice of u if u cud tell some part tym jobs from home too.. i m doin my third yr engineerin!!
