ok my hair is very long 2. use a a hair gloss it does wonders and my hair shines all the way down to the end. put your hair in updos and kewl french braids. I always have my hair in different styles and its very very long. for a quick style a french twist either use a clippy if it will hold your hair or chopsticks. I get headaches so i have 2 wear my hair kinda high on my head. otherwise a really tight pony tail with your hair slicked back with oil or gel which ever works 4 u. i use different hair parts like zig zags, side parts middle no parts. put just half your hair up. there are so many styles just make sure your hair is even at the bottom. nothing worse than somebody with long hair that comes 2 a point. it should be thick and even all the way across. good luck

i reccomend dove and pantene shampoo and conditioner. u need to brush your hair in the morning(right when u get up), before u leave the house, and right before u go to bed. Some hairstyles would be a bun(like a pony tail but dont pull the last part all the way through the hair tie), or a pony tail, pig tails, or you could braid three parts of your hair then braid those together, or half up! I hope that these tip help! Good Luck with ur mane!

I would suggest going to www.longhaircommunity.com for a very detailed list of answers. They have a wonderful wealth of knowledge about growing and maintaining healthy long hair.
(My hair is 47 inches long.)
A few suggestions...
Get a wide tooth comb that has no seams or sharp/rough parts. If you want to still brush, do so after you have detangled your hair with the comb or your fingers and use a boar bristle brush. Always comb/brush gently. If your hair is very curly, I would suggest staying away from brushes all together. If your hair gets very tangled, only comb your hair in the shower after you have put conditioner on it.. the conditioner will give slip to the tangles and you can get them out without breaking the hairs. Just be gentle!
Another key in growing long hair is to protect it. If you wear your hair down there is a greater chance for it to get caught or tangled in things. Finding simple updo's are a great way to keep your hair protected. There are many different buns and braids that are very easy to learn and they can be worn every day.
Heat styling your hair is very damaging to hair. When constantly using heat to manipulate your hair (blow drying [blow FRYing to some.. lol], curling, flat ironing, etc), the water in your hair strands gets boiled away leaving your hair brittle and crunchy. There are a lot of hair safe ways to achieve different style.
This is just the tip of the hair care iceberg! Visit the site I listed above for wonderful information and great, supportive people that will help you on your long hair journey!

I've never like Pantene. Try a different shampoo and conditioner. It doesn't have to be super expensive but don't get the cheapest one either. Try washing it with cold water. A few days ago the pilot light on the water heater went out so I had to wash my hair with cold water. I didn't even use a conditioner and my hair was super soft and silky that day. One of my co-workers is in beauty school and she said the cold water does something that makes hair softer.

It's all about shampoo and conditioner for soft and silky hair. Need something good. I absolutely love thermasilk. Makes my hair very silky. To help manage your hair, get layers cut in it. Layers will thin out your hair making it more manageable and will allow you to keep the length.

Try a hot oil treatment. You may also think about cutting your hair and giving it to locks of love. Then you would really love the way your hair looks.
