Importantly, what is the definition of stupid? If it's relying 99% on tests and ignoring what the patient is actually experiencing, the answer is, Yes, stupid people can become doctors. If it's a case where the doctor has no idea what's causing the issue but simply states, "sometimes hearts just do that" as a medically complex answer, the answer is, Yes, stupid people can become doctors. If it's an inability to humble oneself and admit that you have no idea and refer the patient to someone who might have a clue, then, Yes, stupid people can become doctors. If it's not understanding the basic correlation between organs and transport mechanisms despite 14 years of training and several years of experience, then, Yes, stupid people can become doctors.

High school diploma, a bachelor's degree, and then medical school to get their doctorate degree. Then they would technically be a doctor. To be a practicing doctor, they'll have to complete an intership - the length of which is determined by their specialty. Sometimes the intership can last 8 years or more.
So, what does it take to become a doctor? Lots of time and dedication! :)

Assuming you're into med school and has the money to pay for your studies, you have to have strong gut and be not scared of blood or the dead.
If you genuinely desire to save lives, you are in a different class.

Willingness to "prostitute" yourself to pharmaceutical companies, tolerance for GORY SCENES, a good memory, if you're going to study in the U.S.A. - a lot of money and a lot of studying.
