he was the grandson of our prophet Mohamed (PBUH) . and he is the son of AL- Sayeda Fatema Al-Zahara , the prophet's daughter and her husband Ali Ebn Abi Taleb, may God be pleased with them all ..

Imam Hussain was the grandson of Prophet Muhammad and is being considered as Imam by Shiite Muslims.

I wasn't going to answer this question (because I don't know the answer) but I decided to anyway after looking at the link in the first response. I thought it was uncalled for to just post a link to a site that basically says you are wrong for wanting to convert. Don't listen to anyone else. If Islam feels fight for you then pursue it. I'm not a Muslim but I've met many wonderful people of that faith inside and outside the United States, including members of my family.
