urinary tract infection
A urinary tract infection (UTI) is a bacterial infection that affects any part of the urinary tract. Although urine contains a variety of fluids, salts, and waste products, it usually does not have bacteria in it.[1] When bacteria get into the bladder or kidney and multiply in the urine, they cause a UTI. The most common type of UTI is a bladder infection which is also often called cystitis. Another kind of UTI is a kidney infection, known as pyelonephritis, and is much more serious. Although they cause discomfort, urinary tract infections are usually quickly and easily treated by seeing a doctor promptly.

The main symptoms of a bladder infection, UTI, or cystitis are burning, itching, pain, discomfort during urination, and an urgent need to urinate, it can also include strong or foul-smelling and cloudy urine. Often you will experience frequent need to urinate, though only small amounts of urine may come out.

New research shows that antibiotics are becoming less effective for bladder infections and more resistant in the fight against ecoli infections of the urinary tract. For some bladder or kidney infections can become chronic or stop responding to antibiotics. Researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis explain why these infections are so hard to beat.....more

There is Hope !

For these reasons antibiotics are not always the best treatment choice. A new product called Mannose can be faster and more effective, especially in eliminating chronic problems, and it doesn't have the side effects or other problems associated with antibiotics.

Pain with urination, blood in urine.... if there is lower back pain that is a sign of a kidney infection. My dad has issues with his kidneys and bladder all the time... his doctors told him to make sure he drinks a glass of cranberry juice everyday and increase his water intake....

My kitty also had a bladder infection... she actually had bladder stones/crystals... we had to switch her to an all chicken diet.

Unexplained pain in your lower back. That's the only one I know for sure.
You really should see your doctor. In the mean time, drink lots of water & lots of cranberry juice. That's all I know.
