I'm truck shopping and am having a tough time choosing between the Ranger and F150 (I'm a Ford man so I will definitely be buying one of the two). I love the exra size of the F150, but the FX4 is supposed to be great offroad and would be easier to drive around the city when I go. What do you guys think?

My wife and I got a 2004 F150 FX4. We live in a small town, but travel to the bigger cities time to time. With one child and one on the way, the cabin is comfortable and sweet. Although it has a short bed, it still can handle a decent load of plywood being 4X8 sheets. The 4 wheel drive is ideal for going off road for hunting or getting to my favorite fishing hole. It's very dependable and gas mileage isn't too bad. Has the power and torque needed to be called a man's truck!
For this in our opinion, next year we will be adding another 2007 FX4 to our stable....
happy shopping

I have had Ford trucks for over 10 years and just this year, bought a new Silverado. It was hard to change, but the new styling, gas milage, and overall price made me go to a Chevy truck this time. I am 6'3" and did not fit in the Ranger. I like the size of my old F-150 and would have never been happy with the size and power of the Ranger. Go with the F-150 or check out the new Silverado (I bought the 4x4 extended cab Z-71and am very, very happy) I live way out in the boonies on the Illinois River and need a good truck. Just dont go with Dodge

I actually have had Ford automobiles for over 10 years and basically this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, offered a sparkling Silverado. It grow to be troublesome to regulate, besides the undeniable fact that the hot styling, gasoline milage, and universal cost made me bypass to a Chevy truck this time. i'm 6'3" and did not fit in the Ranger. i love the size of my previous F-100 and fifty and would have not in any respect been pleased with the size and potential of the Ranger. bypass with the F-100 and fifty or inspect the hot Silverado (i purchased the 4x4 prolonged cab Z-71and am very, very pleased) I stay way out in the boonies on the Illinois River and want an effective truck. basically dont bypass with circumvent
