I try to snack on healthy foods like fruits and vegetables. i think the answer is not to not eat, but to not eat the junk.

All sorts of tricks, some will work for you, others won't. try 'em and see.
- decide to wait 10 minutes
- have an apple or some fruit or some almonds instead
- figure out an alternative that's "bad" but not quite as unhealthy
- make sure you eat BEFORE you go grocery shopping, so the junk never gets into the house
- buy healthy snacks to keep at work so you don't find yourself standing in front of the vending machine
- give yourself one "free pass" per week to pig out. and tell yourself, "I'm not going to waste it on cheap stuff, I'm going to save it for that delicious fattening _______ that I love."

I have the same problem, maybe drink more water or do something distracting, it some times work for me

mentally tell yourself to not eat them. they're bad. assure yourself that you are making the correct choice and steo awy from the junk.
