By "divine", I assume you mean the Lord God Almighty? The Bible says that God watches the heart. The heart is the seat of all motivation. After one accepts Christ, Jesus leads us to the right course. This is why we do not seek out not our own will in matters, but God's will. We are human and God knows this and also knows our thoughts and everything about us. When we make an honest mistake because we are flesh, I don't think this is held against us. Being right is of great importance to men, but God's thoughts are not like men's thoughts. We all make mistakes but thank God for the blood of the Lamb that washes away sin! Our sins are buried forever to God once we are washed clean!

If we do the best that we can according to what we know we will usually both be right and do right. I would say it would be hard to do good things if you are not a good person but I will also say that by doing good (especially for others) we will become better people.
Arguing over things (like the best way to love God) is one situation where a person could be right (in what they are saying) and doing wrong (by arguing). God loves everybody and would like us to do the right thing and not argue about how to love Him/Her back.
