A lot of churchs have it on the books that homosexuality is sin. However, it seems that churchs have adopted the "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy when it comes to this issue. Why is this not preached against more strongly from the pulpit like it was 30 years ago?

Perhaps the places where you've been attending church have recognized the folly of condemning people for something that they didn't choose & that offers them the capacity to give and receive love.

And perhaps they choose not to victimize those who are doing nothing to harm anyone else.

It's a sad state of affairs when someone like you decides to see specks in others' eyes rather than work on dislodging your own apparently multiple occular logs.

the reason human beings say those products is because they have not considered themselves interior the reflect of Gods regulation yet, yet element palms. Homosexuals purely have a diverse sexual orientation, yet in the different case they are an same as anybody else. interior the early church, the lady were out of control, for this reason the Apostle Paul giving this coaching to the church. those stupid human beings haven't any expertise even as quoting from the Bible. they purely use it to serve their personal faith and doctrines. God is not any respecter of persons, even if male or woman, he will use whoever obeys Him. that's the reason quite everyone ought to now be quite born back by technique of the water and the Spirit. John 3:3-5 potential, "If someone must be born back, they should be born of water and the Spirit. right here water potential the baptism of Jesus, which does away with all the sins of the international once and for all. You are correct many churches do not preach on this. And the ones that do may hurt many people if they aren't careful.

I have learned over many years that if homosexuals are believers in God they may lean toward suicide. Think of YOUR sins. Don't they repulse you even though you keep doing them? If someone has feelings for the same sex and are believers they may think I can't change why should I be alive? And Satan can use this tool against them.

We must be very careful and teach in love. Since we "All sin and fall short of the glory of God." Are our sins any better? I believe God can change them but we must first bring them the gospel and allow God to do his work and not condemn. God can save them as he did us in our sin.
No we shouldn't say homosexuality is OK, this is not my intent.

Where have you been? lol Even the president got into this issue. As for the churches themselves, maybe because so many are turning up having homosexual tendencies themselves. Look at one of the strongest protesters against homosexuality... Haggard. Look at how often we hear of those with Religious "Power", especially in Politics, doing these types of things.

If some churches are quiet about the homosexual thing, they may be avoiding the truth so they don't offend people. Well, it's better to know the truth while something can be done about it than wait until it's Judgement Day. Homosexuality is a choice. http://www.matthiasmedia.com.au/briefing/webextras/homosexuality_is_a_choice.php

I don't know how you can say Christians are silent on the issue. It's all they seem to be able to talk about.

I guess that's not quite fair. It's not all Christians, just the vocal fundamentalist ones. Most people now understand homosexuality is not a moral issue. It's not a choice people make. It's difficult to believe a loving God would create homosexuals then punish them for it.

Because many are caving in to the demands of the world...not to be intolerant...it seems we are no longer free to embrace God's truths...but are having the world's belief forced onto us...It is a sad day...because the day is coming...that we are going to be forced not to preach the true word of God or face persecution....There are even several churches that have embraced homosexuality...they will have to answer to God for misleading His flock with untruths...Some day it is going to be...stop at the front door...place your order (as in a restaurant)..."okay sir...what truth do you want preached today?...Because our mission is not to offend...So just put a check on the boxes that best describe the beliefs that suit your lifestyle and we will do our best to accommodate you."...Come on!...We don't get to determine God's truth...God does. Be Blessed.

I gather you are talking about moderate and liberal churches as opposed to the evangelical or pentacostal ones.

Maybe because they take the law, "Love God, Love your fellow man" as being a far more important issue than something that was mistranslated a long time ago.

You know, the Golden Rule. Do unto others. Don't judge lest ye be judged....

Because all religious people know, even if they dont want to admit it, that times are changing. And what was a sin 30 years ago is acceptable now.

The church is realizing that we can't be held accountable for actions considered to be sinful when the people that put those "laws" into place are hundreds or thousands of years old.

Morals are different in the 21st century. You have to get with the times!
