It is very normal for a 17 yr old not to have dated or kissed a boy yet. It is no big deal. She will come out and date eventually on her own when she is ready. Everyone is different. Some girls date at like the age of 14 or younger. That can sometimes lead to trouble though. Others start at 16 which is better. And the still there are some who make it to be like 18 and have never seriously dated so everyone goes out into the dating world on their own time. Just give her the freedom she needs and I am sure one day she will find a nice guy. And if this really bothers you then just talk to her. Maybe there are reasons she's not dating like maybe she is more interested in her friends right now or school. Whatever you do just don't pressure her and be the caring person I am sure that you are. Good luck!

Your niece is a bit unusual as most girls would already have been dating for several years by that age. Find an opportunity to talk to her on how she feels about boys and dating and then go from there. Some may need professional counseling while others simply develop a couple of years behind their peers socially.

Be prepared also for the small possibility that she may be gay. If you really love your niece and want to help her, keep the channel of communication open and judgment-free and you'll find out her true feelings soon enough.

well, personally, i think its normal, because I'm in the same boat. I turn 17 in 2 months and haven't been kissed or had a boyfriend, and I've got friends that are the same. As for helping her, try and get her to go out and meet people-join a club, go to a party, or go to the mall. best wishes!:)

There's no time to start having a relationship. Evenyone's different and there's never any rush. When it feels right and she is ready she'll find someone.

So is she normal. Yes she's normal and if you ask her if she likes shopping and spending time with her friends and she says yes, then she's definitely normal.

As for helping her. There's no help needed. She'll meet someone and have a relationship when she is ready.

She may not want a boyfriend just yet, perhaps she doesnt feel ready or simply just has'nt met one she likes enough. Your niece is normal. She may not need you to help her as such but maybe you could bring the subject of men up sometime to see what she says.

Anywhere form 13 to 20 I would say. Has she had advances? How does she handle them? Does she flirt? I really had not kissed until I was 20. Shyness was my biggest hurdle. How does she feel about it?

It is not natural for her to be like that at 17. As her uncle, you should talke it upon yourself to turn her into a woman, teach her how to kiss, touch, enjoy and pleasure men.
As she is obviously frigid, she may object at first, but you should be insistent as it is for her own good.

Is that what you wanted to hear?
You dirty old bastard, keep out of her sex life, and let her do things in her own time. It's non of your damned business

don't push her. do you want her pregnant at a young age? just let her be herself. my first kiss was at 23! she is fine. she will find someone who has the same self-respect that she has, and who will be great for her. she doesn't NEED a boyfriend.
