These both seem to be damaging to hair, but if you've used styling irons on your hair (say on a regular basis) or you've had your hair coloured or highlighted, do you regret it and why?

Would you recommend it to others?

I use a blow drier and flat iron on my hair everyday. I also color my hair at least once a month (sometimes more). I regret every starting because once you start you can’t stop. My hair is dead and fried. It will not grow because of the everyday use of the flat iron. If you are considering on using any of these products on your hair I would not. I would take it all back if I could.

No, I color my hair and use flat irons or curlings irons about three times a week. My hair is not damaged at all. I also use a relaxer every 6 weeks. But I condition my hair every month and get trims as needed.

yes.. i coloured my hair once..it was 5 yrs back.. aftr a month a got fed up of it.. it made my hair brittle n wavy in a sick way.. i had glossy hair earlier and a beautiful shade of brown.. and my hair grows real slow.. so it took almost a year for the colour to go of completly.
i feel that colouring makes a person look really cheap.. n its totally out now.
i wont recommend it to anyone.. especially if ur hair is often exposed to the sun. and no amount of care can bring it back to its original state

No .. Because I haven't dye or use curling irons before ..
But I am going to try for rebonding maybe a few months more for my hair to be longer .

I am talking of regular coloring only as I have no experience with irons.
No. I 'd never recommend it.Hair loses its own texture. Thins out as a result of chemicals . Needs a lot of care. Still lose it.

yup , i regretted a lot.when i had my hair permed, it totally damage my hair.!
i had to cut it short, the damaged parts, and let my hair grow again.
i think i've cut my hair like 7 times already, since that incident(it was 10 months ago) coz whenever my hair gets longer , it goes haywire, coz of the previous incident.( boo hoo, i used to have pretty hair!!!)
NOw, my hair is getting better, recovering..

well, i would suggest to my friends not to D.I.Y.
Go to a GOOD saloon, you really trust, otherwise,
dont try it.
