my father is black and my mother is white upon filling out info for my 3 kids I was told the darker race dominates..which is funny for my kids because their father's are white, but since I am listed as black it makes my children black as well although they are only a quarter black..the down fall to bi-racel children is they may never know which race they feel they belong too and usually one race doesn't except them I am light so the white race excepts me more and I know little about my black family other than their names! Because I was raised with whites. And also my children can be with a white or black person and have the opposite coloured baby. Not that I mind my colour I am proud to be me. The sad part being though they have not given us mixed people a proper name to call our race , even though you'd think they would since there are so many of us. I like the most about being mixed is I never just see one races point of view, which is cool. and I always get complements on my eyes and hair. which is long thick and curly . and my eyes are yellowish green. Anyhow so to answer your question the darker race dominates...but you will get your critics that say you are what ever race your father is. But the professionals say its the darker race

If the child is born in America, then it would be 100% American. If you don't know what *race* your child would be, then it would be 1/2 of what you are and 1/2 of what the father is.

er, it'll be your nationality + his nationality. geez u must not know anybody of mixed race where you're from ! I know a Chinese-Russian plus heaps of mixed Filipino races : Filipino-Polish,
Filipino-Scottish, Filipino-Australian. The kid will look unique though as it'll have both cultures mixed. An Asian who has a child with a European will have light-brown hair, big eyes and light skin.

it will be a part what you are and part what he is.

I'm hispanic and my husband is German/Polish. We list our son as Hispanic because it's more beneficial for schools and stuff later but it's up to you how to list a child.
