Since all gods other than the Christian god are 'the devil' and the first god to ever be worshipped wasn’t the Christian god, did those ancient primitive people worship the devil? Would that mean that the devil is the most ancient god?

Why did Christian decide to give this deity so much authority? There is a ton of ancient gods older than Yahweh and according to Christian mythology the devil rules over all of them. Geez, the devil is so powerful he even created evolution just to deceive the masses in believing that he doesn't exist? How is that possible?

(I can see it now, cavemen, Neanderthals and homo-erectus worshipping the devil to help them in their quest to find food to eat, lol...) Is the devil a time traveller? do you think it’s possible to travel into different parts of ‘time and space’, could you go to bed one day and wake up yesterday, how would you try and explain that to someone if it happened?

Being a theologist, I look at it this way...

The first name used for "God" in the Bible is Elohim. Linguistically, this actually means "The Gods and Goddesses".

Now, when you read the 10 commandments, it specifically says, "I am the Lord thy God who brought thee out of Egypt. Thou shalt have no Gods before me." This was a directive to the Jewish people that they shall worship none other than YHVH. It doesn't say that there are no other Gods, or that the other Gods are Satan.

Somehow, the Jewish concept of God and Satan got mixed up with the Mithraic idea of duality...one God of Good, one God of evil. (Apparantly, Paul's mother was a follower of the Mithraic religion). So, when the Romanized Pauline Christians spread their faith, all other Gods became the singular God of evil.

Makes a good marketing tool, don't ya think?

The devil would not ask you to sacrifice something? different than your eternal soul! i think of the relationship between guy and God differences lots for the time of the Bible. first of all you had Adam and Eve in the backyard. God appeared after them and that they needed for no longer something. One rule: do no longer consume that fruit. keep on with that one rule and that they could have something they needed for eternity. They broke the only rule, so issues replaced. Now because of the fact they ate the fruit and commenced to earnings, new rules had to be made. on the grounds that then God has inspired monks etc to earnings. questioning issues is portion of human nature. He despatched Jesus and diverse prophets to tutor human beings, no longer very nearly him yet a thank you to stay a good existence. The devil has been the oppressor. he's the only that sucks you in with fake supplies you. He could look greater beautiful, yet that's his trick. he's infrequently going to get interest if he behaves like the incorrect decision.

The only people who are twisted enough to worship the devil are the people who take part in Satanism. The devil plays no part in my religion (Wicca) and, personally, I'm quite thankful for that.

I don't believe that all other gods other than the christian one is the devil. Wiccans thank "The One" for creating the God and Godess and we thank the God and Goddess for creating and watching over us. I think if you asked this question to your church, it would be answered best.

How can I say this lovingly? We can seek answers from many sources or we can go right to the source itself. Which is what the bible is. It is Gods word given to us to dispel all the confusion about who He is or is not. Below are some verses to clarify who is Antichrist, which certainly the devil is the founder of the club.Jesus is one branch of the fork in the road. One leads to Him, the other leads away from Him. No one comes unto the Father except through Me(saith Christ Jesus).

Besides, it is not really about religion. It is about relationship to Jesus Christ.

Who is Antichrist?:
1 John 2:22
Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is Antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.

1 John 4:3
and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

2 John 1:7
[ Beware of Antichrist Deceivers ] For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an Antichrist.

All the other gods and beliefs are man's attempts to reach God. Christianity is the only belief that God reaches out to us. This is what gives Christianity such authority. All other gods are not "the devil", but are evil in that they keep people from the living God.

Man is different from other animals because we are spiritual beings, who have a spiritual need. We sense something is missing, and strive to fill that void within us. Jesus Christ is the way God has given us to come to Him, so that by having His Holy Spirit, we can be made whole and complete.

Why believe in Jesus, in who He was and what He did for us? To be forgiven of sin. Sin is anything that separates us from loving God and other people. It requires repentance... a turning around of the way we are doing things with a heartfelt sorrow for the hurt and pain we have caused others. It is an act of our love and will, to do His will. Christianity, regardless of it's various expressions, all believe in this basic tenet.

Millions over centuries of time have found this to be true. God proves that He is alive and real when He touches our heart. We are never the same after that, finding our selves involved in a new relationship with the living God, having found a new life with Him. Many call the experience being "born again". That they have found "The Way". Only through Christ can we find this new way and life with God. He is the way, the truth, and the life.

Today, if you feel Him touch your heart... If you hear His voice through what is being presented here... do not harden your heart. Repent and ask Him to forgive you of the sin in your life. We have all sinned, everyone of us. God understands this, and accepts us as we are, beacuse of His love, grace and mercy for us. May God bless your journey.

The first human pair worshipped Jehovah God,the creator of all things. He alone being Almighty.Abel remained faithful to Jehovah.Enoch,Noah,Abraham.
Of course, after Adam and Eve rebelled and were thrown out of the garden of Eden, false worship developed. The Bible shows that it appears to have begun with Nimrod who built the ancient city of Babylon among others. When the language of those in that city were confused, the people went off in different directions taking their pagan beliefs with them. But throughout ancient times up to today there have always been those who have remained faithful to the only true God,Jehovah.Ps.83:18

"Why did Christian decide to give this deity so much authourity?"

Christians nor anyone else gave God any authority,God already had the authority long before man ever existed.

Your foolish rantings against christian beliefs etc. etc. proves that you don't know your own @$$ from a hole in the ground and wha's even worse you are on here looking for someone who agrees with you so you can give him or her the 10pts. that they really didn't deserve.

You're a fool looking for another fool to lead you.

Also,by what or whose authority gives you the right to call God "Yahweh" ?

God is the only true living God,The God of Abraham of Isaac and of Jacob, the Jehovah God...there is no equal nor no other like God.

Its interesting to note how modern Christian teachings, and by modern I mean anything that came AFTER Jesus, emphasize the power of Satan over man so much, give him so much credit and THEN claim that God is powerful.

So in the mind of the christian educated man, the following question arises: if God is so powerful, why does He allow satan to `rule` the earth?

The point they forget to mention is: God created Satan and God does allow Satan to tempt man, but it is man who by the freedom given to him by God who allows Satan to show this man evil from good, is the sole decider of his own actions.

Therefore Satan has no real power but the power of suggestion.
* * *

All gods other than Yahweh are ofcourse not the the devil.

Theyre just not REAL, if:

1. they are not eternal: like a cow, the sun, the fire, a statue etc

2. if they can speak to humans on the same level: Im human, but am god too.

3. if they cant create by the sheer power of being able to create out of nothing

Thats what God is. Reality, i.e. truths, do not change.

So therefore I think Christians use a lot of `not` words but should use a lot of `are` words like buddhists do.

It is a primary practice in educational theory that `not` words arent as affective as `are` words in educating students. As `not` words emphasize negativity and prevent positivity.

Stop twisting the Bible and trying to deceive the people here. God existed before time began. God created heaven and earth and He is Almighty. Nothing is impossible for God.
