It doesn't matter where you are, just how special you make the day feel for her - lots of fuss and attention and her favourite people around her, whoever they are. A box of mini presents - they don't care what they get at this age, and just love opening things. Tissue paper is better than wrapping paper for little ones. My 3 year old is still like this! Make the most of being able to keep it cheap and simple - it doesn't last forever!!!

Locally we have a child friendly rest; which always has 2 for 1 in dining. So as your family dont get on - I would go and celebrate your childs birthday two nights. If asked why (and I would make it known to all) - that I was doing this I would explain you had no option. Lets hope this will make the two families stand up and celebrate together next year and bring peace to your inner circle. I am sure you will have restaurants which do similar as in 241 - happy birthday to your treasure.

She's only two - it won't make any difference to her where it is as long as she has her parents there, some presents, a birthday cake and some other nice things to eat. Why would you invite the adults in the family anyway? My niece is 11 and I've never been invited to a birthday party for her.

Go to the local swimming pool/soft play, then take her for lunch and then back home and blow up balloons etc and have a little party without the family!
Have a lovely day

Where do you live? Go to a lake and have a picnic and bring lots of bread and let her feed the Ducks...I did that with my 2 years old Grandson and he LOVED it.
Or go to Dolly wood.

She's too young to remember her 2nd birthday. Just be there for her and she will be happy with whatever you decide to do that day.
