What Do you as Policemen and Women think about public participation in crime initiatives.....?

Do you think that there is confusion when anti crime campaigns
say that police are not doing their jobs etc... and only focus on
both victims and crime, when the POLICE are the very people
out there who are right in the thick of the fight against crime,
and as such should not be called to answer to the public,
unless it is warranted........the police have a very important
job to do and negativity causes dissent, instead of criticism
the public needs to back up the Police in the very fight that
they deal with every day of their lives.....................................
the Police need public participation, but they like also need
support, and not insults on peoples posters.........................

What do you think about the fight against crime in South
Africa, do you also think that all crime fighting initiatives
should be spearheaded by the POLICE, and then only
involve public participation......................................................
