Myth: Eating at night makes you gain weight.
This is a diet myth, this is a diet myth, this is a diet myth. Let me say it again, this is a diet myth.
Fact: There is no "cut-off time" for food ingestion. The hour of the day or night matters not. What does matter is if you are eating more calories than what your body uses, bottom line. It does not matter whether you eat these calories during the morning, afternoon, or late into the night. If you eat what you burn, you stay the same weight. If you eat less than you burn, you lose weight. If you eat more than you burn, you gain weight. It's that simple.
And let me repeat, it matters NOT what time of the day or night you eat.
If you really wanna stop eating at night (if you are still buying into the myth), then eat something light, like a side of veggies, a fruit, a salad, or some juice.
If you can't resist midnight temptation, then cut short a portion of food during the day and save it for the midnight treat. Enjoy.

You could simply not stock your favorite snacks. This would reduce the temptation to eat. Drinking a glass of water can fill you up without adding significant calories. You may end up having to get up in the middle of the night to relieve yourself, but you can at least gainh that full feeling without the calories.

I have noticed for myself, that I feel more hungry after dinner when I have not really eaten that much during the day. So now I take more time to make sure that I eat better through out the day and I don't end up sneaking to the fridge at night.

wow, i have the same problem and so did my dad
have a late dinner say around eight..ish or nine..but never less then two hours before bedtime.
don't confuse hunger for thirst...get enough water ..at least eight glasses a day ..minimum
don't drink coffee or caffeine after six p.m.
have a snack that is low in sugar and trans fat..good luck because i love to eat at night
never skip breakfast...people are who say they don't eat breakfast are not hungry because they ate to late in the day...if you eat after eight you are gonna gain weight...hope i can shed some light on your problem ...weight watchers has a fairly inexpensive program that will solve your late night eating problem..there are no forbidden foods. and also no magic foods either..diet and exercise..get that heart rate up and drink purified water and no alcohol and no pop...especially diet pop..groan

At some point i was really addicted to that and so i came up with this strategy that worked fine with me i would have an early dinner / late lunch at around 7pm and then i would go to sleep at around 9pm so i was full before i went to sleep and didnt have to eat. Just try to stop thinking about having a binge and hopefully it will go away!
Good Luck!!

If you feel craving in the middle of nights just drink milk rather than eat food. & don't sleep if you full because it cause you to a very worse nightmare. Sometimes people encountered nightmare they're not even awake for the rest of his/her life.

You can eat before you go to bed, it just depends on what you eat. Stay away from that cheesecake and grab some carrots and an apple instead..
Being well hydrated will also curb your cravings

Realize that the feeling of wanting to be full to go to bed is just a bad habit, and choose not to do it!
