You can't completely get rid of it, it will just take time. But it only lasts a day at most, or a few hours. Drinking coffee will definitely help but only one cup of coffee too much will make you even more dehydrated. Also drink lots of water and/or juice - one thing that causes a hangover is dehydration so water and vitamins are good. Take aspirin or something if you have a headache. Other than that just getting sleep is all you can do. And next time you drink a lot of alcohol, drink as much water as possible at the same time, it will make the hangover less bad.

Drink loads of water eat greasy food and rest. Or have another drink although this doesent help in the long term just makes you feel better for a while. Sports drinks like gatorade are good as they rehydrated the body but don't drink red bull or tea or coffee as they are duretics and will work against your hangover.

Gatorade, or any other of the sport drinks out there. A hangover is caused by dehydration (the alcohol actually absorbs the water in your body.) so drinking a sports drink will help to rehydrate you quickly. Lots of water can help also, but it'll take a lot.
Or, my favorite cure is a nice big bloody mary. Yum!

ok, here's how i do it.
get a shower
fry up eggs and bacon, the grease breaks up alcohol
brush teeth
go buy gatorade and red bull, mix them together, and enjoy. gatorade will hydrate u, which u desperately need since a hangover is technically a very dehydrated body. the red bull will wake u up a bit.
then you have to go do something. this sucks because of course u don't feel like doing anything. however, the more physical it is the better you'll feel afterwards, trust me. even if it's just a walk, it helps.
that's my hangover advice. or just get drunk again. or sleep all day.

Drink plenty of water and take an aspirin. In the future, to avoid a hangover...before you go to sleep, do the same thing. Drink a big glass of water and take an aspirin, two if you're really drunk. It will help.

Something that works for me is:
When you get home, or wherever you end up after your night out, take a couple of Mersyldol and drink heaps of water. When i do this i never wake up with a hangover. Might not work for you but it always works for me. Mersyldol, a painkiller, are available at your pharmacy, but will involve a chat with the chemist about what it is for. I usually go with back pain or period pain. Remember, drink heaps of water!!!
Hope this helps

Just saw this on the news about ways to get rid of a hangover. You want to drink alot of gatorade because it helps to clean the liver from alcohal. Also you want to eat bread or crackers.

One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is a banana milk shake sweetened with honey,it builds up the bodies depleted b-vitamins.The milk soothes and re-hydrates the system. I also like yogurt to help with the stomach burning.

Try to remember to have a glass of water and salt tablet before you go to bed. But if you forget, try one or two beers with two aspirin in the morning. The whole key is to rehydrate. I saw a guy who could not function, go to wanting to get back to the party in twenty minutes after his paramedic buddy hooked him up to an IV(intravenous) bag to replenish his fluids.
You need to rehydrate.
