hi, it does sound like chicken pox but you need to be certain it isn't mengitus... Symptoms of meningitis and meningococcal septicaemia
What are the signs and symptoms?
Meningitis and septicaemia are not always easy to recognise at first.
In the early stages, signs and symptoms can be similar to many other more common illnesses, for example flu. Early symptoms can include fever, headache, nausea (feeling sick), vomiting and general tiredness.

Trust your instincts, if you suspect meningitis or septicaemia, get medical help immediately. Click here for more information.

The common signs and symptoms of meningitis and septicaemia are shown in the pictures below. (Go to this website to see the pictures:

Others can include rapid breathing, diarrhoea, stomach cramps and a rash that does not fade under pressure.( press a drinking glass on the rash and if it doesn't dissappear while under pressure you must get your son to the hospital immediately) In babies, check if the soft spot (fontanelle) on the top of the head is tense or bulging.

I don't intend to alarm you but it is better to be safe than sorry, i hope it is nothing serious and your son gets well soon. all the best

It sounds like chicken pox. Use oatmeal baths and benedril to stop the itching. Scratching causes scarring. The incubation period is 7-21 days so he can infect other people. He can't go back to school or out in public until the blisters are healed.

Be safe and take him to the doctor because chicken pox can cause other problems.

This is a hard questions to answer because it could be SO many things. The most common would be an allergy. Take some time to think about weather he has any new cloths, new soaps, eaten anything new for him like shellfish.

Funny. My sister is 14 weeks and she has then ALL over her. Not noticeable unless you really scope her skin out. It looks like someone took a red pen and just put little marks on her. I can't find anything about them on the internet. She will ask her OB on the 30th.
