Normally they recommend 3 hours before the flight time, although check-in will be open for a while. It's best to check in early so you get a good seat! Plus leaving yourself plenty of time in case of travel delays in getting to the airport is always a good idea.

Er well iv just came back from New Zealand and that took 42 hours! lol But thats just coz i go it cheap. So its about 9 hours to Dubai and 9 to Royal Brunie where i stopped of so think roughly your talking about 20 - 24 hours in total. But i dunno i havnt bin over their yet id just go on a air travel website and look at some flights to HK
