Losing weight should actually save you money. Don't let all those commercials make you think that you need to join a gym or buy a barrell of pills!

Look at the foods that you eat and start counting calories. Replace foods with a lot of sugar with foods with a lot of fiber (fruits, vegetables, grains). And start exercising when you can. Walking / Jogging are the best ways to lose weight...and they're free! You can tone other parts of your body with crunches, push-ups, etc... You don't need any fancy equipment...you have everything you need to start...the most important of which is the "will to change"!

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

Use a small plate and a small sea food fork, take only what will fit reasonably on that plate (no piling), eat only one plate full per meal. The small fork will force you to eat slower and give your body time to register a feeling of fullness. Start doing old fashioned gym class exercises like jumping jacks, crunches, leg lifts and start running daily. Walking will improve your health but running will melt off the pounds. With this plan the most you would have to spend in maybe the cost of a new plate and fork.

The theory is simple, expend more calories than you consume (move more, eat less). Walking is free! All you need is a good pair of walking shoes. Make sure you use them for exercise only. There are many books out about fitness walking...check out your local library! You can also get books on resistance training which is like weight training only you use resistance bands. These are fairly inexpensive. Best wishes and good luck! You can do it!

It is more complicated on a budget. All the economical foods are starchy stuff you need to layoff like potatoes, rice and corn. All the meats are expensive. I like Chicken dark meat so I buy the thigh packs, You can get a weeks supply for about $5.00 but you need to trim the fat off them before you cook. Get multi-vitamins they are expensive but its better not to take a chance that your diet is perfectly balanced. Canned meats and fish are some times fairly economical and keep well without refrigeration. Canned Vegetables require little preparation, I get green beans and turnip greens.

Its not easy but you can do it.

I know it will be hard. Cut out sugar, eat smaller protions. It may be hard to exercise but do what you can even if it means doing it 3 or 4 times a day for a few minutes at a time. You will be able to build up to doing more. Good luck!!!

you can work out by running, situps, etc. Buying healthly food shouldn't cost you arm and a leg if you buy it instead of what you been eating. Its not going to be easy. So good luck on what ever you do.
