I use a dry food called Royal canin they make it for each different breed and size of dog.
It has all the things that a dog in the wild would eat and none of the rubbish that is contained in some of the well know brands on sale.

There are so many dog food brands to choose from, I use pets at home advance range which I find very good. I know a few people who use wainwrights and say its very good also. I don't think there is a best in the market, Each dog is different and has different requirements, a lot of people swear by the more expensive ones, but I've known dogs that have been fed on chappy their entire lives and lived long, happy, healthy lives.

I feed my 4 resident dogs and 1 foster dog on Wafcol Greyhound Maintenance food. A couple of times a week they get sardines mixed in with it and they also have any table scraps, including a roast dinner on a Sunday.
Wafcol Greyhound Maintenance is a complete food without colourings or anything artificial. It is scientifically balanced making every bag the same. It is not tested on animals and because it is a working dog food, there is no VAT to pay making it very affordable (max £14 for 15kg bag). Wafcol also run a bar code scheme, where you collect the bar codes off the bags and when you have 5, you get a bag free ... so works out even cheaper.
I feed this to both my greyhounds and other dogs and they are all doing very well. They are fit, healthy dogs (3 of which are blood donors) and their coats gleam.

BURNS dog food is excellent. It is a natural dog food which has all the good ingredients and no artificial colouring or preservatives. The person who made it possible is a vet and he has only the animals interest at heart.

Both my dogs are fed on The Nature Diet which we buy from Pets at Home....it comes in plastic trays and costs 64p per tray. It consists of Meat, Brown Rice and Vegetables...thats it....no additives, no crap added its just good food and is a registered holistic pet food. Both my dogs have good healthy coats, no skin problems and the one who had a real bad digestion problem before I put her on it has had not problems since. They wolf it down. Love it !

Good old fashioned Pedigree Chum + mixer has always served our poochies well!
My Jack Russell is getting on now so she has "Senior" Variety and I've used Chum Puppy for puppies as well.
My Collie cross (who has a huge appetite) likes Webbox dry. Makes him do lots of funny coloured poo though!!
