It's possible it's not the most important thing in life, but it sure gives the 2nd place contenders a run for the money.

Well first, you're a guy - I'd hope that your testosterone could get you ***** off of a naked woman. Therefore, you're obviously not asexual - trust me. You're obviously interested and sexually interested in females - but what's stopping you from admitting it to even yourself? Have you by any chance had a scarring incident in the past that makes you say you're "asexual" and you "want to avoid having sex your whole life?" If so, I suggest going to see a therapist. I can't see myself having sex, and I'm sure a lot of other people can't either! When it happens, it happens. You just haven't found someone your wiling to commit to - but my question is, why question about avoiding sex when you haven't even had a GF? Do you think that every relationship *HAS* to lead to sex? Incorrect, haha. Dating doesn't have to be a serious thing - it can be a casual thing as well. Now don't be a player - but dating is a good experience - and does NOT have to be sexual! Once you meet the person right for you, once the relationship hits that level, that is when you should be questioning if you should be having sex with that *person.* If it happens you avoid sex your whole life, then I guess it happened that way. And really? Money is the most important thing? Money can't buy happiness nor can it buy family and happy memories. Trust me on that one. And you *plan* to be a successful businessman, but first do well in college and graduate, then plan that far - you never know what can happen to you and your dream; they just might change.

Yes, sex is important! How important? Well it's one of the basic drives: if we don't have sex we don't reproduce, and the species dies out.

But if you're talking about sex for fun, it's a little different, although sex is pleasurable because, well, see above. How important sex is TO YOU depends on things like how old you are and how much you're getting. (Believe it or not, too much sex can be boring after a while.)

Some people get obsessed with sex --addicted to it-- and that's bad because it interferes with other activities that are also important. If you think that's your problem, see a counsellor.

Otherwise, enjoy sex as much as you like (safely, of course) but do all the other things that make life interesting, and even possible!

No activity compares to sex. Sex is the ultimate. Activities are just the passtimes of the less privileged.

Sexual urges are very natural and you shouldn't try to prevent yourself from having them. however you can refocus the sexual energy on something else entirely which is referred to as sex transmutation. Read Napoleon's Hill "Think & Grow Rich" for more on sex transmutation. If you follow the advice, after a while sex kind of becomes irrelevant to you and you focus on more important things.

Stupid question...

everyone is entitled to how they look at life, and for some sex is more important then how others look at it. I love sex! lol and I don't intend on ever trying to "control" my feelings on that.

sex is just as important as all other activities for the main reason that sex is the best medium for reproduction, but if you over do yourself with it and forget all other things instead of giving you satisfaction it will ruin you. just do everything moderately

By submerging ourselves in other things? Like, when you're really busy doing something that matters to you, sex will be the last thing on your mind.
