They don't believe there is God? ... it doesn't make sense to me. Sorry, but I don't buy their idea.

I know of a person who claims to be an atheist. He says he stopped believing there is God coz' his prayers were not granted. What a loser.

sorry, dude, I reserve 'hate' for real things. But I have very little hate in me. I don't even hate obtuse christians.

You don't buy people can't believe in your christian god? Let me put it this way. There are ~6.5 billion people on this planet. Around 2.1 billion believe in your christian god. The rest believes in different gods or no gods at all. What makes you think your god is the correct one?

Lots of atheists? Yup, if you lump all the non-adherents together (Secular, Atheist, Irreligious, Agnostic, Nontheist) we number about 1.1 billion.

The Atheists I know don't hate God. Silly to hate something you don't believe in. I do see many, though, that hate what certian people in the different Religions do. I don't see them attacking God personally, but how people use their beliefs to justify their actions towards others who are different. Just because someone no longer believes in God does not mean they hate God. And it certainly doesn't make them a loser. A little short on Compassion, aren't you?

I believe someone else already made the point that you can't hate someone that doesn't exist. A true athiest doesn't hate God. The thing here is that a) you're generalising and b) people become athiest or agnostic for their own reasons. Like any other group, you can't throw us all in the same basket. I don't recommend calling us losers either - I'm sure the 'do unto others' bit counts here (I believe in that with or without the religion that goes with it). For my part, I have no feelings either for or against God or those who believe in him, or any other deity. I think if you understood the underlying principles of Christianity you would embrace athiests among all others and share your beliefs with those who will listen, rather than criticising others for having a difference of opinion.

Being an atheist means you don't believe in God.

How can you hate what doesn't exist or whom you believe does not exist?

If a person hates God it means that they have a pretty big grudge....at least that is my experience in meeting people who are ranting and raving against God. They believe there is a God and they are mad as hell at God for hurting a relative or doing all kinds of stuff they can't handle or don't have an answer for....so they project villainy on God.

A atheist by definition is one who does not believe the Existance of God.
Therefore he cannot hate some One who he thinks does not exist.
An atheist usually has a a different way determining the reality of Life.Other wise he would not be agonostic about his Creator.

Now, you know that Atheists don't "Hate God." They do not believe in him, and resist when they feel others are trying to force their beliefs on others.

Imagine your belief in Santa Claus. Now imagine everyone else starts claiming Santa is coming, and that we don't need to do somethings for himself because Santa will take care of it.

And imagine that when you go to school, you have to learn that the North Pole has a castle in the middle of it, and is not really just a frozen mass of Ice.

And people start trying to teach you about elves, even though you are pretty sure that there are no elves.

And you there'a talk about cancelling Airline flights on Christmas Eve, because pilots are afraid that they might hit "a Jolly old elf."

You might really start to hate all those Santa Believers, but you wouldn't hate Santa himself, right? Because you would still know that Santa isn't real.

You've totally got the wrong idea.

Atheists don't believe in a God. They don't hate God. Why would we hate something we know doesn't exist?

There may however, be some people who actively hate 'people who are silly enough to believe in god' though, they exist. But in my opinion, they're no better than any fundamentalist religion.

Some atheists actively try and discourage others from religion however, because of the trouble it brings about. And some discourage it because it's heartbreaking to see so many would-be intelligent people, believe such a ridiculous story unquestionably.

What makes you hate Santa Claus?

Ok, let me address this question briefly. We dont believe in God. We dont hate him, we dont think he is real. Its not difficult.

You call the guy a loser because he quit believing in God because of unanswered prayer. Wow, what a loving person you are. Maybe you should examine your self and see if you lack compassion, which I gather is part of christianity.

Not an atheist, but...

How can you hate something that you believe doesn't exist?

You are simply repeating the rhetoric of your spiritual leader designed to scare people into following him. (The preacher, not God or Jesus). Its called a Christian cliche, and the atheists have heard it a million times before.

Sorry, you get no brownie points this time.

Atheists don't believe in God. They don't hate something that to them doesn't exist.

Perhaps they just hate the people who try to force the idea of God and organized religion down their throats.
