i want to scrape off adhesive off my walls from the room I am leaving and can prep it to be painted to reduce what might be put on my itemized statement from my security deposit. Please let me know so I can do it the right way and safely! Thank You!

Don't scrap anything. Use paint thinner or some nail polish remover if small area. Dot it on a old towel and rub. You still might have to paint some. Some white shoe polish does the trick.

A wonderful, but costly, product is De-Solv-It contractors solvent. Use this, along with a blow dryer. Saturate the sticky, let it soak for a few minutes, use the blow dryer to heat the glue and work it off with your nail or putty knife. Any remaining film left on the wall can be removed with cleaner or even nail polish remover or paint thinner. Good luck.
