I am just starting with devotionals and would like good books to guide my quiet times with God. If you could recommend good books, specifically for women, for general devotions I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks :)

thanks for the tips...but i'm looking for a specific book reference...there are so many devotional books out there that it can be overwhelming...i just want one or two recommendations for devotional books that you have read or know about personally, particularly those written for women. thanks!

you guys are right...i know that i need to focus on the Bible...but where do i start? i don't know a lot about the Bible; i read it throughout the day, everyday, and i talk to God all throughout my day as well, but i would like my quiet times to be a little more focused and organized, because i've just been reading different chapters here and there; i'm hoping a book will help me with that

Lord I want to know you by Kay Arthur is one of my favs
http://www.amazon.com/Lord-Want-Know-You-Devotional/dp/1578564395/sr=1-1/qid=1171111414/ref=pd_bbs_1/104-8499634-6331161?ie=UTF8&s=books

I lean towards having my devotionals by meditating on each book one at a time

our devotionals are supposed to help us KNOW Him better and the best way to do that is dwelling on scripture itself.

Think about it.

Go to www.christianbooks.com. You should find something here. God Bless. I also have a Women's NIV devotional bible that is easier to read and has notes on the side. Or try going to a christian book store in your area. We have a Living Branches here.

You don't need any books, Just get by yourself & talk to God. The only book you need is the bible, Don't misunderstand me now, There is nothing wrong with devotional books, But you need to first start at step one.
