I often receive a few lines of tagalog and would like to be able to translate it to english. Can anyone recommend a free site i can use.

often you will recieve tagalog dielect, that is not in the dictionary, so in that case you will need to ask a person from the philippines

Try yehey a philippines site for searching.
Also check out ebay philippines for the odd books around.
Last but not least, Marry a Filipina or Filipino like I did that can speak both as it makes Life very simple for a person like me.
