Monet (impressionist)....."haystacks" in varying times and seasons. 'Roeun Cathedral', 'solielle levant'.
uses complimentary colours in shading...eg green tones in shade of red object...there's one in snow where he uses tones of violet in the shadows.....
this is just a starting point.
Why don't you do a google images search on Claude Monet /impressionist paintings /haystacks....and go to wikipedia for the written info...
