why do people assume that as i single mum i should pay?

why don,t fathers pay their fair share for their kids and people think its okay, so its okay for a man to be irresponible and not give a **** but a woman has to be, i think their are some warped people around if they think this is okay

The best thing I got was cause we physically have the kids, not the guys. So we are left holding everything.

Being a wife to a man who has 5 children 4 from his previous marriage and one from a previous relationship and the youngest lives with us and he does pay child support I want to say why do women always gripe about "worthless" men who do nothing when many many many men do a lot for their kids and never catch a break we are harrassed all the time by the child support system because at one point in our life we could not make all the payments due to being truly broke so now although we havent missed a payment in forever we are still harrassed and it's people like you bitter and complaining that are the cause of it all. Your also the same women who go around saying its my body i can do what i want with it (abortion) but the father has no say if he wants to keep the child because it your body. I have a step daughter whose mother never calls much less pays child support we don't even have a court order for it shes our child we'll take care of her its not just men so drop the feminist junk.

Deep down you are so right. But that doesn't help a child that did not ask to be here. So, many people are willing to lay down but neither feels that they should have to pay when their hand turns a different direction. Someone has to love that child and tell him or her that they are wanted and loved.(it is a dirty, tiresome thankless job but their is someone that always love you right or wrong and thinkis that you are the bee's knees.) He is missing out on the best little pay days on the planet. ( when you hear Mamma I love you and they really really mean it.)

Bottom line: What daddy doesn't do mother has too. Until women take a stand about sex and stop thinking that it is a free no strings pleasure cruise and that they need to read the fine print with every offer this is going to be the case each time a woman choses to have sex with a boy looking for a free ride instead of a man that is willing to stick by her and pay the piper with her.

Your right fathers should share too. Nobody has business having children unless their prepared to be together for life. That goes for both men and women. People are harder on women because we have to power to prevent this all from happening. It just takes will power. Nothing breaks my heart more then seeing children growing up in single parent homes. Can it be done? SURE, but it's just not the perfect situation for a child's upbringing. I only wish MEN, and WOMEN would commit to each other, before making children.

Lady.... a "parent" is responsible financially for their child(ren)... Mother AND Father....
I have raised 3 of my husbands children from his previous relationship and the biological mother of these children has done everything in the world to avoid paying child support. She is literally over $60,000 in arrears.
Regardless of who we've contacted.....Noone is going after her to collect but they darn sure would have had my husband in jail long ago if the tables were turned.

I would say its a society double standard..historically it has been the woman's job to take care of the children... we can say we are a forward thinking country but somethings havent changed much
