They want to prove that they made the right decision. A person who chooses to become an atheist realises that he could be wrong. That there might be judgement and hell.

I don't have hell programmed in my system. That's why I don't ever think about it, unless others bring it to the attention. If they do, sometimes I must laugh, but most of the times it just shocks me that there are people who still believe in this ancient fairy tales, or when they say I'm going there unless I live completely according to their rules.

Well, some Atheists believe Hell doesn't exist. I don't know about the ones who do, but the ones who don't don't necessarily think of it as funny, just as an imaginary place, and a curse word, lol.

As an Atheist I do not belief in hell, heaven or gods. There for you will never see me referring to those imaginary things as a real option. Burning people -for any reason- never seems like a human thing any way to me.

My great-uncle Edward Darwin says that hell is an absurd and ludicrous way to convert non-believers through the use of fear.. but by aunt Gladys says hes a godless atheist

We do laugh, and then we point out how hypocritical it was of Jesus to say on one hand how much he loved the world and on the other hand what would happen to those who didn't believe what he was saying. That's even funnier.
