If you want a traditional wedding type ceremony go to a wedding chapel, in a city. They are listed in the yellow pages in the USA. They can arrange for a judge.
If you want a simple ceremony, go to the hall of records, where you apply for a license, they can direct you. Most states no longer have Justice of the Peace. But often clerks in the County Clerk's office (in California) are licensed to marry you. You still need the same paperwork. Blood test, permission if you are underage, etc., but it basically is a signing of a document, you do not have to take vows.

You could get married on a beach or in a hotel. Basically it depends on the law of the land. In England the place has to be registered as an official place to be married in - but people have registered football grounds and supermarkets for this purpose. As long as you can afford to register the place ad they give consent then you can get married there. In some states in America you can get married anywhere. If you live in America why not go to Vegas - you could have and alien wedding or a drive-thru wedding or and Elvis wedding - be as cooky as you like.

Why can't you? Most are happy just to take the money. After all, cash is the real god.
