I've been told that Newcastle Amber is still available, but I don't know where to get it !
Anyone got a contact number or address for a place that still sells this stuff ?

in canada { ontario } you can buy it at any lcbo store. i have never seen it any where else.

Of course we drink it. I live near Newcastle in the North East of England and I'm almost sure it tastes so much nicer in Newcastle. Also, when I went to London a couple of years ago I decided to get drunk on Newky Brown (which was quite easy at 4.7% volume). It seemed like a novelty at the time but it wasn't when I woke up with the famous Brown Ale headache (it does actually feel like your head will explode). Also, currently sitting on a set of drawers in my bedroom is a full Alan Shearer Testimonial 2006 bottle of brown Ale (Alan Shearer is Newcastle Uniteds all time top scorer with 206 goals and probably the greatest player the premiership has ever seen). I've been told that if I keep this bottle full for the next 30-40 years it may be worth quite a lot of money.

yes i do.when i used to go intosunderland for a pint,women used 2 drink Amber ale in the snug.have never seen it 4 years.

The Holiday Inn used to serve this and I would drink this when I was in the sauna..it was like a Finish pilsner/lager with a very golden glow to it when it was served draft style.

I remember it because I got sick on it a few years back. Come to think of it, I haven't seen it lately either.
