I didnt get mine until I was fourteen and a half - tell her to be thankfull, and treasure every period free month from now untill she gets them, because she will eventually get them and grow to hate them like every other women on the planet. there is nothing wrong with her, everybody gets them when thier body is ready.

I was 14 when I got mine. And was I so excited. I don't know why but I was. Now I am 23 and I hate it!!! My neice is 14 and she hasn't started hers. She has high metabolism and she only weighs 70 lbs. She is 5'1". The doctor says she is normal, but her body is just not ready b/c she doesn't weigh enough. Your friend will get her period in time. Don't rush! When she gets older, she will wish it would have never came!

DO you fairly want someone to allow you to understand IF it is faulty OR no longer? besides the undeniable fact that, MY answer IS that you need to continually bathe, placed on impressive clothing, AND keep HAIR NEAT because YOUR possibly GOING TO BE ON NBC TO seize A PREDATOR. you want to look solid at the same time as YOUR BEING INTERVIEWED. No big deal! I didn't start until I was 15, and even though I felt kindof "left out", tell your friend not to stress about it and enjoy her time "without her little friend"!!! The cramps, the moodiness, the mess! Once she starts she will have decades of visits!!!!

It will come. I was 13 when I got mine. I know someone who never got hers until she was 17 years old. It will happen when her body is ready.

There is no reason to worry. Everyones bodies are different, they mature at different levels. For girls as they age and feel that they are "not as mature" as the other girls who get theres, its normal to feel that way....I only wish girls would know that this is ok and nothing to feel bad about.

The daughter of one of my friends got her first period when she was 16! Nothing wrong with her - she's beautiful and sexy.
