I have heard that 'flipping the bird' to a cop in California is against the law. True or not? And please list the law/ordinance.

It is not aginst the law to flip a cop off . It is your constatutional right, freedom of speech! I do it all the time, infact any chance I get I do it. Cops think they are so smart, but they are really stupid!! LAHABRA POLICE (here's a good example of stupidity) This so called "POLICE" department was granted a restraining order aginst me (ARTY DUARTE JR.) because a couple officers were infear of thier lives ,and their families lives!! The restraining order stated that I was to stay 75 yards away from any officer of the LAHABRA police department, and or have any contact with them! One day after work I was driving through LAHABRA when I noticed flashing lights in my mirror. I ignored the flashing lights kept driving. I then noticed 4 black and whites following me telling me to pull over, all that came to mind at that point was 75 yards, and no contact!! So I proceeded south bound on Euclid st. untill I entered Fullerton city limits. I had already contacted my cousin who is a FULLERTON cop and he told me to pull in front of the Fullerton police department, and turn myself into him. I was arrested and put in Fullerton jail, not LAHABRA. I was in court the next day, when the judge came out he ask's me what was I thinking , I replied I was thinking 75 yards, and no contact, and that I was complying with court orders! The judge paused for a minute read the court orders ,and said " CASE DISMISSED" he then called the chief, and the captian of the LAHABRA police department into his office.I was also orderd into the judges office. Before I entered the judges office I told the deputy sherrif that I would be violating a court order, Im supposed to stay 75 yards away from any lahabra police officer!! The deputy tells the judge what I just said , I heard the judge say "you guys think you're so smart, but really you are so stupid!" The judge tells them they are to stay away from me ,donot follow me, harrass me, etc....so to make a long story short their stupidity got them nowhere! As of today I will occasionally run a red light in front of a lahabra cop just to prove my point! And that point is " CAN'T TOUCH THIS" HA!HA! ***-YOU L.H.P.D. YOU STUPID BASTARDS!! WHO'S YOUR DADDY MOTHER FUKERS????!!!!

Flipping the bird is an expression of your freedom of speech. You may get a little extra attention from the cop, but unfortunatley, they really can't do anything about it.

Its not against the law but i would not suggest you do it, it would be offensive and the police might just find something else to pull you over for so be good.

you may get stated for parking against site visitors. i became stated for parking head in to the size down, as quickly as I would desire to have been parallel (of course, as quickly as I did it, anyone else became head in and whilst the law enforcement officials got here to visit, anyone else had left)
