Love or Lust? Which is more realistic? There are so many people who "fall out of love" and skip to the next partner. Does love (the non-familial kind) really exist?

Yes I do.

As much as there are a lot of people who "fall out of love"and skip to the next partner, there are also a LOT of people who stick to their love and work very hard to enhance it and invogorating it.

Love is the ultimate stage of infatuation, lust or attraction. In other words, love is always an experiment between two people. If they are compatible love blooms, if not love dies out. That's why a lot of people would not call the first encounters or feelings as love, or true love.

Yet, it is also true that some people reach the higher stage of love sooner than others. It is these who get really hurt when the other person breaks it off, or treat the relationship superficially and dishonestly! It is also the reason, for many people who are in love, to be hesitant or reluctant to fall in love again. Because the first or earlier experincies are so painful to repeat it.

Thank God, we have short memories or we are able to forget, that we do fall in love again when we find someone whom we have no control of our feelings towards him/her.

All the best!

Yes, it does, my mom and dad love each other, I see it every time I'm with them. Love and lust are different things and both are just as real. I beleive in love, any kind. Love is beautiful and wonderful and rare, that's why cynics deny it. There you go, my opinion.

Love exists.
Lust exists.

No matter how great your love, you can be tempted by lust, no matter how great your lust, you can fall in love.

Love & Lust are probably equal in power.

You never know which one will win.
