First i'd like to assert i'm sorry on your loss. i'd propose that your communicate with the different those who're being concerned for the children (once you do not have them) and word in case you men can communicate to the courts collectively and are available to a pair different affiliation because this isn't operating for any body. i'm certain that it really is taking an exceptionally good toll on those youthful ones as well. because you do have criminal custody then it should be as a lot as you men to provide outfits and such issues as that for them. even nonetheless those persons may be doing it as well. instead of being all or none attempt doing it on a man or woman bases. for example in basic terms because Johny desires new pants would not propose anybody desires them. Its a not uncomplicated element to do, i comprehend. Do issues with and devoid of the different youthful ones as well. in basic terms because they are lengthy gone would not propose the different 2 end wanting those issues. i sense for you men and want that some type of contract may nicely be reached because its hurting the children worse than anybody.

Please take it as a way of showing their closeness to you. I have a Westie too and really they are so lovely, wise and intelligent that I feel it couldn't be thought of as anything nasty by them. It is sooooooo nice to hear your grankids visit you. My family are the same with their only grandparent, my dad off 88. It can be very unusual as I know so many grandchildren that don't go near their grandparents unless they want something or as a duty call. If it really is worrying you why don't you have a word with their mum or dad, preferably whichever one is your son or daughter. You could be pleasantly surprised at their reason for calling you that.

It might not seem fair but from the outside, it sounds very cute. Don't know how old they are but I'm sure it comes from an innocent place. Even if you don't like it, think of the fact that in many years to come, they will be reminded of what they named you and have a laugh and remember you with their hearts full of love.

"How old are they " is the first thing that comes to my mind after reading your question . If they are very young and childish do not take them serious cause they are just children but if they are teen and they know what they are doing you should not allow them to call you with a dog name . This is an insulting behavior and if I were you I feel uncomfortable to be called with a dog s name .

It depends on the ages of the granchildren and whether it's deliberately disrespectful. If it's a problem for you, and I suspect that's why you're asking, I would tell them you don't like it and you won't respond if they call you this is future. You would think their parents might be sensitive enough to have discouraged this from the start.

My whole family calls my aunt "Balls" (hére translated to English). My dad, her brother used to call her that when he was a kid, because he couldn't pronounce her name.
the name stuck, nobody in the family calls her anything but Balls now, even her self. She calls me, saying "Hi, it is aunt Balls". When i was younger I didn't understand why other people found it funny.
So you probably shouldn't worry.
But if you really hate to be called Licky, tell them in a gentle, loving way.

I think as you are asking this question that you must
feel a bit hurt. If you feel they are being dis-respectful
tell them than Nan will do nicely.
When my son was about 3 and he had his two Nans
he would call one Nanny Mick and the other Nanny up
the road. (Not to their face I must add - it was just
to let you know which one he was talking about)

I used to call my Nan, Nanny Tesa because she had a dog called Tesa.
Don't ask me why but the name stuck and I'm 19 and still call her by that name.
