Don't be so naive! America has in NO WAY ever helped the UK government disband or fight the IRA and other terrorist groups in Ireland (Southern or Northern). The only thing the American people and government have done is FUND THEM and when it happened on your own doorstep, then and ONLY THEN did you sit up and take notice and decide perhaps it isn't so great to fund terrorism, that's when all the trouble in Ireland started to take a different direction.
PS Just so that you are aware I would never ever condone terrorism and what happened on 9/11 was truly horrific and a tragedy but no less than any other act of terrorism or horror inflicted on other innocent people in this world, by other groups of terrorists.

Throwing money at terrorists could be a good idea, if you converted the money into bullets and then "threw" them at the terrorists.

No. No situation has ever been resolved by throwing money down a government sewer. More over the problem with these people (if they even deserve that classification) is they want Israel. Plain and simple! The only way the US could pacify these creatures is to say "Fine you want Israel, go for it, we won't interfere". Yes ,surrendering to the IRA,surrendering the hard won EU rebate to the french,surrendering gibraltar to the spanish,our laws to the EU ,surrendering our privacy and rights to the police and councils and surrendering our country to Islam.
