I attended Texas Tech, and underwent much training in the military in medicine. I am also very well read, and I respect your intelligence. If you know anything about old vets, you can appreciate I like to get people's dander up from time to time, and judge for myself if they have any perspicacity. My point in all of this is----if truly atheist---why even the title atheist? And that is a deeper question than what lies on the surface. If you claim no higher power, or life after death, other than titles from academic or social acheivement, what do titles matter? And why would you insist on a title of "atheist" or "godless", when those are fictitious to you? Do you see where I am going? If you feel like it, give me an answer. Or are you only a loaded canon looking for target lol?

Wow! Im happy with you! That took lots to assert, sorry! Why subject approximately what they think of? people who're hurting, and have been harm continuously have behaviors like that... merely love them. remember what Jesus sai?. For they understand no longer what they are doing. you recognize that each and each physique which they say approximately us isn't actual. whether it became, Jesus loves us merely the way we are, unconditionally. i understand many christians that are genius and lots greater. they are Drs., attorneys, instructors, Artists and lots greater,. Be advantageous in what you have confidence, be chuffed and have fun. you have God! You now no longer experience the way you probably did. you're Born returned, you have a greater effective and a clean existence. God helped you to alter... compliment the Lord!

like Christians, some of us wish to proselytise. we wish to dispel the dark forces of superstitious medieval ignorance. to enlighten and illuminate people's lives with the good news, that there is no good news. we feel the compassionate need to rescue those trapped in the mire of despondent dependancy. we have this right as much as the people who harass us in the high streets demanding to know if we acknowledge, 'Jesus as our Savior', as the ones who knock at our door weekly, the ones who preach on TV. an insult for a christian seems to be anything that questions their beliefs, why should it not be the same for us atheists. it is not to justify our beliefs that we come here, look at us like the christian missionaries who trekked through the wilds of Africa during the 19th century, smashing idols, destroying whole social systems and the basis for tribal cohesion to spread the word of the lord. i will be thinking of you hoping you find the light, sincerely wishing that the rest of your life is not spoilt by the visions of hellfire and damnation. (now do you get why we're here)?

I see your point. I've noticed an awful lot of mudslinging from both sides. I'm an athiest, myself, but I believe that the values I hold true are mine to hold and you may hold your own - you still have my respect. Christian, athiest or anything else, if we must insult others to be heard, we have learned nothing.

If you were a true Christian wouldn't you leave the judgment and condemning to your God? Instead of telling us "non-believers" that we shall all surely go to Hell, unless we repent?
If you were a true Christian, would it matter to you if we were insulting? Shouldn't you turn the other cheek?
If you were a true Christian, why would you waste your time insulting US? You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar...or am I wrong?

I'm an atheist, i do not insult Christians. i am fascinated by theology that is why I'm here!!! i find it interesting how and why people reach out to "god", the human condition and all that. i don't want to be ignorant to religious beliefs just because i am atheist, i still want to be educated in religion!

When did I insult you, or any of them for that matter? If I check my memory banks, Christians are the worst offenders on here. And I COULD talk about how religion in general has been the catalyst behind (as well as the mask covering) the worst atrocities in the history of mankind, but then I'd just be proving your inept little question here...wouldn't I?

As an Atheist I never on purpose insulted religious people. The only thing I try to do is point to the enormous flaws in religious teachings and holy books.
