I read that drinking lemon juice with 1/2 cup hot water will keep you from getting sick. I am around people all day long and in close contact with them. I started drinking the lemon juice every morning 6 months ago and I have not even had the "sniffles". Is there any Medical reason for this or did I just get lucky. The lemon juice is pretty nasty at 6am.

Yes...lemon juice is one of nature's cleansers. It helps removes toxins from the body. Nothing magical, just good, natural medicine. Enjoy

In fact, there is no evidence that drinking lemon juice (or vitamin C, Echinacea, etc.) does anything to prevent any sort of illness. People make vague claims about removing "toxins" or "boosting immunity," but the truth is that you're not doing yourself any favors by drinking a noxious brew at 6 in the morning.

Sorry to be a killjoy, but it's the truth.
